We are considering Germany in 2013 after 3 years in France, not because we don't love the latter but just by way of a change.
We like to travel around in our m/h and cycle somewhere different each day. In France we make full use of aires and France Passion sites and hardly ever use sites (only municipals anyway). Are there the equivalent of Aires in Germany? Where is the best place to go for cycling (flatter the better)? Is wild camping frowned on? We have always wild camped quite a lot in France without problems.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
ps Just returned from France Altantic coast yesterday. Weather was excellent, cycle paths excellent, food excellent!!

I can't comment on Motorhome aires as being caravanners we always use sites. However Germany is well geared up for cyclists with many cycle ways and in towns pavements are often shared.
Great flat cycleways along the Mosel river, you can follow it and cycle a different part each day, weather always great in season, have spent weeks in Germany every year and not seen much or any wild camping, there are sites everywhere though and you can swim in the river

Went this year for first time after many hols in France and we loved it. Did lots of cycling in and around Mittenwald Bavaria (but not flat!) lots of signed paths in stunning scenery.
Not sure about aires- we found sites to be few and far between compared to France but much cleaner and cater well for large vans and motorhomes.
