Just got back from a great weekend at byecross farm, only 1 problem, the dog was cold all night. We got her bed extra blankets and a coat for her. The coat came off and bed was all over the tent. How do you keep your dogs warm if you take them with you ? Any ideas would be a great help !

My dogs since they're not now sleeping in the bedroom pod with us sleep in a crate. I cover the crate with another blanket which aswell as keeping the light out so they wake up later keeps them out of any draughts and warm.
Maybe this might be better on the UK campsites forum, rather than the Overseas section. Most of us would be more concerned at keeping our dogs cool rather than keeping them warm!

Our dogs sleep either side of us, they have their own sleeping bags . Yes I know, one gets cold really easily so gets covered up with the bag & never moves all night, the other one never seems to feel the cold & so sleeps on the top.
It's not quiet as mad as it sounds, we changed to a quilt & still take the bags with us, so if there is a real cold snap, dogs go on top of quilt with bags covering us all up.. Cosy.
The cold one also has a home made jumper like those on the link, I got a small child's fleece & made it fit, zip along her back, she sometimes gets cold in the rain so we take it hiking with us. Wimp.
I knitted an Aran sweater for my dog. It even has a pocket for his poo bags when he's out for a walk but he also wears it at night if he's cold. Mind, he normally sleeps on top of the bed between us and is then covered with 2 knitted blankets. He can turn round under the blankets so stays covered all night.
They do but they're used to sleeping in centrally heated houses these days so their coats aren't as full as they would be if they had to survive outside.

when we went recently, dogs had their equa fleeces on, crates on a blanket, vet bed in the bottom, then a bed, with fleece thrown over the top, and they were toasty

Wow, well impressed with the dog that bags up his own poo
