We are thinking of this for one of our stops next summer but there is only one review of it.  Has anyone any knowledge of this site and the area?  The other site we have looked at is Camping les Prairies which is more expensive and looks very smart.  All comments welcome!

We stayed at Prairies in 2006 in a trailer tent. See my review along with the others. The only downside was some of the pitches were very small. Having said that I would not hesitate to go there again.

Hope you get some more responses from people who have stayed there more recently.

We have stayed at Prairies de la Mer and Camping de la Plage at Port Grimaud but it was some years ago. Des Mures is next to Camping de la Plage, we have not stayed there but have had a nose around. There are two sections either side of the busy N98 connected via a small tunnel under road. The beach side part of the site is smaller than either Prairies or Plage. Don't really remember the toilets. Prairies has a lot of fixed accomodation now and I am not sure how many touring pitches. It is handy because its right next door to Port Grimaud. Keep meaning to go back to Port Grimaud.

We have been twice this year. Des Mures is great but I would only stay on the beach side personally. There are some pitches on the beach side completely in the shade and then most without any shade. There will be road noise on most pitches especially those nearest the road. In our opinion the beach of des mures is probably the nicest of the 3 sites on this stretch although it is the furtherest from Port Grimaud. The site has a lot of return visitors, in fact most of the people we spoke to were regulars. There was a mix of nationalities too. The shop is large but on the other side of the road but there is a small tunnel with a few steps to save crossing what could be the dangerous road. Beachside toilets and showers are good but they don't have toilet paper in them.

prairies de la mer is a lovely large site but the touring pitches all seem to be in the shade and to the back of the campsite but all on the beach side of the road (there may be others we didn't see but does have a reasonable number) This site has a number of shops and restaurants. Their beach lodges look lovely and one entrance exit to the site is just by Port grimaud. The beach is quite busy here. There is an entertainment stage here too. We have not stayed so can't fully comment but did visit/wander around a few times this year.

Camping de la plage is part beach side part on the other side of the road but does have a better access tunnel under the road than des mures. The beach seems a little more coarse here. The restaurant on the beach is very good. We have not stayed but visited a few times.

Des Mures does take the asci card out of season, as did Prairies I believe.

If you want something a bit quieter then Domaine des Naiades is 'uphill' from Les Mures and Le Plage, and away from the road noise.  It is a pleasant walk down the hill to the beach, and a hot walk back!  There is one review on here, and I would agree with everything that's said.  Some of the pitches have bamboo sunshades which go over the caravan, or over the car.  You get just a bit more  breeze, too, being up at the top of the hill.

This is where my wife and I will be working next year. Everything we've read and seen looks fantastic - good to know it comes recommended!
