What were your expectations? It very much depends on how it decides to route you. My fairly standard TomTom does pretty well but I always check the route against a map.
Please don't forget thet speed camera warnings on sat nav's must be disabled in France, and that many speed camera warning devices are illegal to use in the UK and France, although they may be sold legally.

Yes I am aware that speed detection is not allowed.
My Snooper is programmed for caravan towing and in the UK I have found that I concur with the routings mapped also the information with regards junction approach eg. lanes.
I seek comments from people who have used their Snooper in France. In addition their experience of using it to select and take them to ACSI campings.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I used my Snooper in France over the summer. It found all the sites that I went too, gave me appropriate routes and was accurate in respect of the speed limits of roads.
I am confident that the snooper is as good as any other sat nav.
Have you downloaded Archie's Camping POI's for all the 30,000 campsites in Europe? It should work with all types of SatNavs. Also includes a Google Earth view of all the 2013 Camping Cheque sites, and soon the 2013 ACSI sites.
Snooper do not allow the loading of poi other than their own.
However the ventura and caravan club versions have a large number of camping sites already installed.
I have loaded archies onto my phone and can then use the address if it is not already in the Snooper poi.

We have a Ventura Snooper and it has the acsi sites on it as well as others. Used it this August and it was brilliant. Bargain too, £100 off the free ads on here.

We bought our son a Garmin Nuvi (from Huw's tip off on here) at Home Bargains, at just £49.00 - and he loves it. We weren't tempted though - I'll still be doing my ValNav bit!

------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I dont have an issue with not being able to load my own poi.
There is a good range available for download from the Snooper site, such as supermarkets and petrol stations.
They also update their speed camers poi on a weekly basis. As far as I can tell this is accurate.
Not sure what else I would need.
