Been both ways

never had any problem going around Paris you don't have to go into it just like driving around the M25

driving through paris is not a big deal its easy.. if driving is a big deal in this counry for you.. then driving on the other side of the road in france is a big no no...stay at home and camp in wales...i've seen some bad driving from brits in france and lots more in britain.....

we have always gone around Paris , we used our old Tom Tom and it never faltered took us straight down to Carlucet without a hitch , once we even went around Paris in the Evening rush hour and the traffic was still moving , but I do prefer to catch the night ferry and get past Paris early morning and stop for a couple of hours sleep
