Italy or Spain?
Looking for quiet sites...

Personally we prefer Italy but then we are a couple in our mid sixties whose requirements are different from a family with young children. It will depend on how much of the holiday will be spent visiting historical places. If it's just a holiday destination I would have thought you would get a wider choice in Spain. However from my limited experience of Spain campsites can be quite noisy until quite late, especially at weekends.
We've only been to Spain and Italy the once, but based on that I would echo comments on your other thread in that Spanish campsites definitely tend to be noisier than Italian ones. Also, inland sites tend to be quieter than those by the beach, in our experience anyway.
Travel to Italy could be cheaper than to Spain as you can use the German toll-free autobahns rather than the French toll-roads. Of course you don't need to use toll-roads as there are perfectly good N roads in France, and in fact, we only ever use those ourselves. But then we have the luxury to be away for 6 or 7 weeks and I know from posters on here that a lot prefer to use toll-roads for speed, to maximise their time spent on site.
