We also went to Croatia last year and loved it. Zadar is a fascinating old city and there are sandy beaches in that part of Croatia, unlike Istria which tends to be rocky. We stayed at several sites, including Autocamp Peros at Zaton, not far from Zadar. Why not write a review of Camping Planik - there aren't many reviews of Croatian sites on here and I'm sure some people would find it useful.
