Can anyone recommend a french site with the facility for dogs to swim?

I have been looking at the sites with swimming lakes and wondered if dogs are allowed in for a dip too?!

Almost any sites which have riverside or lakeside access will have areas where dogs can swim.

Les Peuplies in the Tarn (a Camping Cheques site) is very dog-friendly, and in a stunning scenic area too with a great river 

We're fairly open about where we go really. We've never caravanned abroad before so are open to suggestions.

I remember visiting the man-made lakes when I was a kid and would love to swim in those with my dogs.

Facilities wise - EHU is a must, showers are high priority, anything else is a bonus.

Great, thanks - I'll have a look.

Brilliant to hear that the dogs will be welcome for a swim in most places. I just dread getting out there in the heat (we're thinking of going in August) and having two overheating springers desperate for a dip, they smell the water froma  mile off!

Les Peupliers takes Camping Cheques from the 25th August - so you could save by going towards the end of August rather than at the beginning.
