njones, the site looks very nice and is well priced too. Can you recall how much the wifi was and was there any entertainment in the evenings? I have a teenage daughter and wonder if it will be too quiet for her. Is there anywhere to walk to in the evening for a drink or meal or even any shops for DD?

I can't recall how much the wifi was, but don't think it was expensive. We bought 4 hours of access which easily lasted us the fortnight. There were options to pay for a weeks worth etc. They respond to emails quickly (in English!) if you want to find out for certain.

There is entertainment on every night. We only went to the kiddies disco at the start as our kids were only 18 months and 5 at the time. I don't know if it would bother your daughter but we were the only English people on site the whole time we were there. There was a Dutch majority and a mix of other Europeans.

Peschiera Del Garda was about a 20 min walk away along a footpath / cycleway next to the lake. Lovely old town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Very busy market.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

thanks for the info. we might have DD's friend with us and I'm sure they'll chat to the dutch boys! Is Peschiera the nearest place? Were you able to request where you wanted to be onsite and would you recommend any particular area?

It's the nearest place of any size. There are cafes and other campsites nearer, along the footpath by the lake.

You can book a particular pitch, but you need to get in early. We booked later this time (January) and only had a choice of 4. Many people go year after year and book the next year whilst they are there.

We had pitch 300 last time and are booked on 299 this summer, so as you can tell we were happy with that bit of the campsite! Being picky we would have preferred one row to the right (on the map) as the one we were on was the route people towing their boats out of the lake use. Only 2 or 3 boats each evening though.
