Aquarius is next door to L'Amfora
There is a beach bar outside Aquarius and another outside L'Amfora. The whole area is a national park, therefore other than the campsites on the beach (and a couple of beach bars) there is not much here.
There is no road along the beach, just a dirt track
Aquarius and L'Amfora both have on site supermarkets, which is fine for most things, but you will need to use the larger supermarket in Escala, Sant Pere Pescadore or Figueras
If you are looking for more of a resort, with great beach, but restaurants and shops close by, you should consider L'Escala a few km south of Sant Pere Pescadore, which is an old fishing port, but also popular tourist destination (and birth place of the Formula 1 drive Fernando Alonso) - there are some campsites close to the town. Another destination worth considering is Ampuria Brava, about 5km North of Sant Pere Pescadore - There was a recent post from another member, who recommended a couple of sites here as well
Personally I love Aquarius - it is a fantastically run, incredibly clean family oriented camp site. However, 70% or more of the campers come from Germany, it doesn't have a pool and it doesn't have a full on program of entertainment, all of which I know puts off some British families.
