For camping, decided to have a long bank holiday weekend in may, trying to keep it cheap but have been looking at budget hotels but I don't really want to go down that route. If anybody can recommend a site off Uk campsite it would be most helpful

This site is in the vicinity. It's a smart little place, well looked after and clean. Pitches aren't huge but it's handy for Le Touquet.

Theres a camping municipal at Etaples next door to Le Touquet here

Just don't go to Stella Plage - or as we nicknamed it - Stalag Plage. It has to be the worst place I've ever stayed. We chose it because we wanted to visit the vet in Cucq and it was near the sea. If I hadn't stupidly paid up front we would have left straight away. If you look at the reviews you'll see I'm not the only one to warn people about it.

I can HIGHLY recommend this campsite...

It is near the village of Rue in a very nice area with lots to do esspecially if you take push bikes.

marquinterr nature reserve is close by and the market on saturday mornings in Rue is very pleasant.

Le touquet is only a short drive away.

Hi

This might be too far out about 20 miles away but Les Ferme Des Aulnes near Fresne.

Its a Kawan campsite has indoor swimming pool and takes camping cheques right up to the beginning of July. Very quiet with a nice little bar and games room.

We stop there every year on our way home.
