Hi all, mentioned previously i was looking at les allicourt and chateau des marais but have now found Parc De Fierbois and again was wondering what the good people of ukcs thought? we are going with another couple who have 2 kids aged 16 and 10, I have read some reviews and most seem to be favourable . . . . . . . .. but you know what it's like !

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We stayed at Les Alicourts last year, When we were researching the reviews on Fierbois were very mixed, with hygiene being the main issue in toilet blocks. Hopefully they had a better season last year and sorted out some of it's issues. I wouldn't stay at Les Alicourts if you want to get out and about. If you want to stay put it was great.
I've been to Fierbois a few times but only stayed in mobiles on cheap deals and admittedly was a few years ago now. However we did look at the touring pitches and weren't overly impressed by them. The site itself is good in terms of facilities for kids etc, but the toilet and shower blocks weren't great.
We really liked it, showers were clean and tidy, pitches big and well shaded where we were, but some in the middle were in the sun most of the day. Some pitches in the woods near the lake were a bit 'buggy' Our Pitch was near the eurocamp rep ten area, so they could be a bit noisy on their nights off.
The pools were nice, large outdoor pool complex near the bar with slides into a dip pool. There was an indoor pool close to the lake area. The lake was also ok to swim in, but only shallow a short way out.
The evening entertainmant was a bit dire and all indoors which was daft as it was too hot to sit in, but we only went for the kids disco then left around 9.30.
