For a forthcoming trip to Germany the site emailed and asked us to send a 30 Euro deposit to them via their German bank.
I went on my digital banking site and set up a foreign payment request but by the time my bank had added their fees it was going to cost me 50 Euros in total to send 30 Euros, not even taking into account any charge that they would apply to the campsite at their end.
I contacted the site and told them and they were very understanding and waived the deposit but I don't suppose I am the first person to have this problem.
How does everyone else get around it when the site wont take a credit card payment?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Yep, RBS charged me £10 to wire a 100€ deposit to a French campsite for our July fortnight campings. and there was no charge at the campsite end, but I guess that depends on which Bank the campsite uses.
Some campsites that take Credit Card will charge a booking fee, so I guess it's swings and round abouts.
