Hi, we're planning our first weekend away in late April or May. We live in Co. Cork smack in the middle of Munster. Kerry, West Cork and Waterford are all within 1to 2 hours drive from us. As this is our first trip in our first caravan we want to start off on a good note, has anyone got any suggestions of what site to head for?

Haven't been to Ireland for many years - but we did find a terrific view area near Youghal, altho I think the site may have been noisy in season.

Also had good time in Killarney - site about 1 mile out of centre - near a river under a railway bridge - may have been Flemings??

Actually, didn't have a bad site at any time on any of our trips, some sites bigger with more facilities. It all depends what you want.

 I stayed at White Villa Farm, Killarney, very nice. Kenmare, Kerry was a small tranquill site.

I also stayed at Forest Farm , Athy.... Carrowkeel, Castlebar, Mayo...... Lough Key Forest Park, Boyle, Roscommon, amongst others
