Please does anyone have recommendations of sites, either UK or abroad, which offer activities, on-site or close-by, which would meet my teenage sons' request for lots of activities whilst on hols with Mum & Dad?!
Thanks

Hi my kids enjoyed Ty Nadan in Brittany, loads of activities (although they do cost extra) everything from canoeing to horse riding and segways (think that's what they were called), decent pools with really good indoor pool ( Brittany so weather can be iffy), lovely setting on a river. we went twice at Whitsun and it was fairly quiet could be quite different in high season.

Ty-Nadan, Brittany got thumbs up from our kids. Kayaking, high ropes, quad biking, fishing, painball, horse riding, indoor and outdoor pools. Bit popular with tour operators but keeping them occupied for two weeks meant no squabbles. Most of above cost extra but we built activity fees into our budget.

Another vote for Ty Nadan for our four 13 - 19 year-olds, plus 19 year-old's boyfriend!

What age are your teenagers? My son (14) is happy when we go camping in Spain, as he hangs around with others his age - Nationality and Language do not seem to be an issue

If you are looking for a holiday with loads of cool young people and lots of activities, then the North End of Lake Garda is brilliant - Look at sites close to Riva Del Garda and Torbole (Camping Maroadi is where I used to stay). This part of Lake Garda is more focused on activities, such as Sailing, Windsurfing, Kite Boarding, Kayaking, Kanyioning, Down hill bike riding - it is definately a place where cool young people hang out. However, it is a great location for parents to do (including the activities of course)

When my kids are a little older (Currently 9, 11 and 14) we will certainly be heading off to Lake Garda

Have a look at Camping Bombannes at Lac Carcannes. Also known as domaine bleu.
Next to a lake and there is an activities place on site for all the usual stuff.
It comes highly recommended

Soliel Plage on the banks of the Dordogne always seems to be popular with teenagers - especially staying up late having a fire by the riverside -or jumping from a rock platform into the river. Plus the usual on-site activities.

Southern Ardeche, send them on one of the canoe trips, I think the longest is 2 days, which includes an overnight stop riverside.

Caravan to the Alps was the favourite for our boys - no organised activities whatsoever on the camp site, but mountains outside the door, walking on glaciers, riding mountain railways and chair lifts, and whitewater rafting and paragliding available for those brave enough. They never wanted camp sites with entertainments, or so-called activities.

I agree with Berriow - with teenagers, it is best to go to a location that has lots to do in the surrounding area, such as the Alps or Lake Garda.

The site I mentioned on Lake Garda, camping Maroadi, has not activities itself, it is just a great base - it is also right on the lake and right in the small town of Torbole, so plenty to do without having to drive

I went there a few times when I was in my 20's and took my brother who was in his teens - we had a brilliant time; cool activities, cool shops, cool restaurants, cool people (I just hope that it is still as cool as it was 15 years ago)

The view is spectacular 1000 foot clifs that go down to the lake on both sides - even teenagers will be impressed
