Hi, booked to stay in delft in August. We arrive on my husband's 40th birthday. Can anyone recommend where to go for a nice meal?

Hi we have stayed at Delftse Hout in Delft.

Delft is a beautifull place and a really nice  restaurant is 't Vermeetje we eat twice there the address is Markt 58 Delft 2611GW I had duck and it was fantastic and not expencive.

There are many good restaurants we tried a few but this one was the best.

Enjoy your time there we did.

Yes, there are lots of restaurants in the centre (by the big church ) - obviously you might need to book on a late weekend evening but generally, I think, you can stroll around, have an aperetif  or two and decide which restaurant to go in. Have fun! (Happy birthday to OH).

Having lived in Holland for 3 years and visited delft on many an occasion as friends there By far the best place in delft is Van Der Dussen its in whats called the old city of delft address is 118 Bagijnhof Delft 2611... Try the set menus they are brilliant   your wouldn't do that here but they have it just spot on there even with wine to go with each dish and not expensive.
