Hi Fellow Travellers,
We got flashed today near La Rochelle on the R137 in a 90k limit, I think we were doing about 100k (not deliberate, we were busy looking for the road signs), and now wondering if we will get a set of prints from the local plod.
Thanks for your comments,
Mick
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
You may get a fine, of about €45 maybe €90 depending on how fast you were going. If you pay it straight away you won't get points but if you delay you may and the cost increases. They are really not interested if you did it deliberately or not. It is best just to pay it and forget it.
At the moment non French reg cars are not pursued for speed camera fines so you should be ok. If you read this article you can google translate it with chrome browser, you will see that the French are not best pleased that 50% of vehicles flashed are non French reg. So they have voted to end this but interestingly the UK is not cooperating so even when the French can pursue other nationalities for camera fines UK reg cars will still get away with it.
