Morning all.

Already looking to book our holidays up in 2014 (!) and would like to know if anybody knows of a reliable website with school holiday dates for Europe (particularly interested in Germany, Holland & France)?

The ones I have found are hopelessly out of date with information for 2010/11 & the search here doesn’t throw much up.

In case anybody does happen to know, I would like to know the dates for the first half of 2014, April, May, June time.

French holidays here.  Can't help with Germany or Holland.  However, from experience, I would say that outside the peak holiday season from mid-July to mid-August then you'll find little problem with children on sites.  We holiday every year over the French/Dutch/German Spring holidays, and have never found sites crowded with families and never many children on sites.  If you avoid the larger 'family' sites (ie those with pool complexes, waterslides, and entertainment) then even in peak season you can find quieter sites without too many children.

Also worth noting that German school holidays not only affect Germany as they seem to emigrate en mass to Northern Italy and Venice. Depending on the dates there is often a two week period around the end of May start of June when some years they get two weeks together. Also German kids don't seem to go back to school until the second week of September so it easy to think that because French school holidays have ended that sites will be empty in early September. We found this to our cost in the South of France last year.
