We stayed there in March this year, and I replied to a previous post about it.

Hi
Yes, thanks - what did you think of the site? It looks huge?! we are not into hanging around pools or anything but do like a bit of life and a bar for a drink in the evening - Also how did you book it because I can't seem to book pitches online, have had to send an email ? Thanks
I e emailed the site to make a reservation (no online booking) and had no answer so tried to call and got no answer either?! Not sure how we are gonna book! 😳
At the end of August you should be OK. Try to arrive mid-morning rather than in the evening, and you'll get pick of available pitches. From experience at that time of year, very few sites are completely full, and some are already half-empty.
We holiday every year for the last week in August and first two in September, and never have a problem finding a pitch.
So long as you don't have a large caravan, as we were turned away from this site in 2009 for that reason, had to go to the sister site Tour de Fondue instead which we didn't like for various reasons, although we did like the area.

We were asked to go right up a very steep hill with our van, which wasn't easy. The only water point was at the very bottom of the hill near the loos.
The loos were ALWAYS being cleaned so we could hardly use them.
The site is right next to the sea and if they only did away with the high bamboo fence then there would be great views.
We stayed at Camping International in June/July but first visited Camping Presqu'il de Giens and Tour de Fondue. We have a tent and the pitches for the tents were not quite big enough and at Camping Presqu'il de Giens the majority of tent pitches you couldn't park on your pitch. We chose Camping International as the layout of the pitches was much nicer, it had a swimming pool, was walking distance from both beach and the village of Giens. There are quite a few campsites on Presqu'il de Giens which I had not found on the Internet before I went.
We also managed to rent a fridge for 38 Euros for 8 days which was delivered when they said it would be and collected (no deposit required). The campsite did not accept cards so you have to pay cash.
