hi can anyone tell me is the road from route 2 e35 at Locarno to camping conca d oro suitable for twin axle caravans and is camping conco d oro also suitable for a twin also any recommendations for an over night stop around colmar or over the german border am going reims colmar route is this the best way to lake maggiore don't mind a few tolls might as well ask any other reccomendations of campsites for lake maggiore many thanks Jonah sorry for all the questions!!

We travelled via Lucerne to Conca d'oro, It is an outstanding site, plenty of space for twins. we were there in May 2011 and it was bliss, few vans on site and great weather. a stroll into the local town is a must. site restaurant is good and facilities are excellent. If you want more info please let me know (I will dig the travel diary out). we travelled in a Geist 7 mtr long 3mtr tall motor home (we now tow a Bailey senator) and the roads around the lake were hairy to say the least (overhangs and fast moving trucks) but well worth the haul. I envy you the experience
