Counting down until we leave for France, just had a look at via Michelin and it shows 2 possible routes once we exit the ferry at Roscoff, and was wondering which is the better route even so there isn't much difference between the 2.
One has a few extra motorway miles so wondered if this would be better as not drove abroad before, also are any of the routes hilly?
Regards
Chris

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Not a lot in it is there. But I would say the D69 is the flatter route. I'm sad in this way as I will look at goggle maps and travel the route, but that's just me. The
d'armorique is a really nice area can be hilly in parts but not to bad if my memory serves me correctly.
Were of to Adge and the Ardeche from the 16/8, and looking at the roads round Largentière hope the old motor can stand upto it with a full load,we'll soon find out :).
Has for driving in France, I prefer it to the UK,most places are well signposted although signs can be right on the exits to where you want :),if were in a town and need to find the route we need then we normally follow Toute Direction this normally brings you to a signpost with the direction you need. And just remember to keep to the right :).
Well I hope you have a great holiday and that the route you take is not to bad.
All the best and bon voyage.
Hi Chris
We've stayed near Benodet a few times and we go via the D69, it's a quiet rural route until you get to the dual carriageway N165. I can't remember it being hilly, a few ups and downs but not major. Have a look on google maps at the junction No. 9 on the route, you have to turn left (D69) and it's easy to miss it and go straight on if you're distracted.
I think most people go the other route which we haven't tried as the D69 is easy enough.
Enjoy your holiday, it's a lovely area. If you're there on the 15th August look out for a firework display in the bay at Benodet, well worth going to if it's on this year... it's free and you can walk from the campsite.
