Hi I am interested in travelling abroad by ferry in my Fiat Bessacarr E572 but am concerned at the ground clearance on boarding the ferrries as my motorhome has a significant rear overhang. Can any one advise? has anyone travelled by ferry with a Motorhome that has a large rear overhang and did they have any problems.
Cheers
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Thanks Harry B. I was a caravanner for seveeral years but never travelled abroad. I am only concerned as I have read about some Motorhomes grounding their rear end when loading onto the ferry, just wondered if anyone had come accross anything like that.
Hi, legentay, For France I am more inclined to the eurotunnel, but for ireland am stuck with the ferry. I know the Eurotunnel will be fine as our friends have used that but neither of us has used the ferry for travel with our Motorhomes. I know years ago I grouned the towbar on my 4x4 on the ferry to Calais... hence my concern.
