Can I get a little advice please? I have ordered and received my APRR tag. I have attempted to read through the leaflets that came with it and can figure where to position it etc.
But I am unsure if I am required to activate or register it online at all? Or is it a case of attach it and when we get to a peage it will read the tag and away we go? We leave next friday and I want to be sure I have done all that I should to have it ready and I am struggling with the written French (although putting some of it through Google translate has helped a bit).
Many thanks for any advice from people who have already done this and can maybe guide me through.

Not APPR, but we have an ATMB waiting to be used in a couple of weeks. We didn't have to anything specific to activate it, other than to have logged into the account online. Which in their case lists the tag, and says it is active.
We received our ATMB tag last week and we used google translate to help but it was still a bit unclear. However, as per previous posts, when we logged in to our account for the first time it did say that it was active. Also, the serial number on the sticker on the tag matched the one on the account so I'm assuming that it's already been linked and it is indeed 'good to go'
Thanks everyone. I had a good old wrestle trying to get into my account online this morning and I think I won!
I can now see my tag account number and it said (correctly) that I had no invoices to show. So we will stick it in over the weekend and no doubt on Friday of next week we will approach the toll with VERY bated breath!
Thanks for the help and advice.

Hi everybody,
Like I said earlier, tag arrived and we are now counting down the last few days before we set off
I've just been doing my usual route planning and have 'driven' parts of it using Google maps and the little yellow man. The first toll area it came to did indeed have the 't' lane. Unfortunately, this had a height restriction of 2m... There was an unrestricted lane but there was no mention of a tag. Can anyone advise what to do in this situation? Does the tag work in the non restricted lane?
Cheers all
Not sure if the first toll area you'll come to is at Boulogne. If it is I'm pretty sure that the left hand restricted to tag holder lane has now been converted into a 30km per hour drive through lane which doesn't have a height restriction. In fact I've got a feeling there are actually two drive through lanes on the left.
Having said that as far as I know the tag will work in any lane anyway. You might just have to queue though
Stupid question, but when you join a toll road in France do you need to go through a barrier first? Thinking about the M6 toll, the barrier is just at the exit. BTW, it cost, yesterday, £8.40 for a car with a trailer - robbing bar stewards.
