July in France

Following on from Mike's blog, July in France was the third warmest since 1900, it felt it too!!

Especially considering the Spring was a shocker!!

Don't I know it. And me asking for a south facing, sunny pitch.

Cotton faring better than synthetic? B*llocks. No tent is bearable in that intensity of sun and heat.

Hope it's not quite as hot as that when we come next week. As we've nothing booked except the crossing, we'll probably linger in northern France for a few days before heading south. We will call in on friends near Bergerac so can shelter in their house for a while.

We are in south west France now and it's cold and raining! We have had 2 weeks of intense heat so far so not complaining!

Not too far from where we live, forecast is OK for the next few days, then cloudy from Sunday and sunnier from next Wednesday.
