Well, next year we'll arrive July 17th. Should avoid the big holiday traffic too

Totally miscalculated thought as with the rest of france the dordogne would be quieter at the end of August in fact a lot of the French have goneleaving the British hoards. The site is I have to say lovely today really quiet our kids are the only ones in the pool as the site emptied friday and thursday.   Unfortunately we have to go home tomorrow :( as the kids are back to school next week. Weve had a fabulous holiday but I suspect the Dordogne isnt for us. Next year OH is demanding a sea beach but I want mountains so we' ll have to see who wins, Croatia looks fab but too far to drive so we may be leaving the tent behind .......

We're just back from Moulin de Paulhiac, which was a good site, but too busy and full of brits to be on our returns list!  Can't really criticise it though and the restaurant was good.  We cycled passed Maisonneuve and it looked great, and every time we drove from the site we went past Bel Ombrage, which was practically desserted in the last week of August.  We wished we'd pulled in there instead - we'd have had the pool to ourselves - although the kids loved Paulhiac as they had loads of playmates.

Although Le Capeyropu looked lovely it is a very busy location - we prefer to be a bit more out in the sticks.
