We're planning next years trip having just returned from the Charente region - fancy the mountains next year!
Any recommendations for campsites around Annecy? Have had a look at La Ravoire, Les Fontaines and Lac Bleu. All look good but quite busy.
Also, any guidance on weather in this region?
thanks x

We stayed at this one - a few km out of Annecy but we cycled in on the purpose built cycle path - took around 15 mins. We went in September and even then the traffic jams were awful.
We stayed at La Ravoire a few years back in June and the weather was mixed, very hot with occasional downpours. This site was very busy, we had a good sized pitch but some were small, its an ideal location for the cycle path into Annecy and only used our car once to go to the supermarket with no traffic problems.

We have stayed at lac bleu - very popular with German and Dutch families but went very quiet from the last week in August.
The location is stunning - you can easily spend days at the small campsite beach just watching the view.
Weather was typical mountain weather - very hot some days but also some short sharp torrential storms (one though lasted all night).
Doussard has a small supermarket and access to the cycle path is just across the road.
