Hi all well it looks like after two disappointments that this year we finally get to go to France with our van. We are considering going through tunnel on 06th September around ten pm to arrive in france circa midnight. Can anyone recommend a site or an area for overnight stay please. Just somewhere we can snatch a few hours sleep and be on our way again early morning. Also on way back we will need a vet has anyone experienced this and offer any advice please.
Thinking of going down West Coast across the South and back up the East as want to go over milau Bridge.
Any help advice very gratefully accepted. What shouldn't I forget etc.
Regards
Keith and Wendy

If you're heading west then stay overnight at the services at Baie de Somme - there's a dedicated caravanners bay, with grassy areas, picnic tables, and rubbish bins.  If you look on Google Earth or Google maps you can see the layout and the caravanning bay is at the far eastern end away from the services building.  Before that there is the Aire des Deux Caps - and that's a reasonable one, but a bit noisier than Baie de Somme.

Hi there, We use a site near St Omer on the way back called Camping La  Chaumiere, it's about 40 min from the tunnel, and the owners are dog lovers, in fact the wife also works for the local Vets and she will gladly arrange your dogs appointment for you, very well kept site selling good ale and food, look it up in the campsite search section. it has some very good reviews,

Stu
