Ok, so we have finalised these two resorts for next year, and we'll have a week in each.
Does anyone have any recommendations on sites in these areas, after this year, we need sites where we can walk to the beaches and towns rather than having to drive, will need a pool as well for the kids, not bothered about entertainment, as we make our own.
Thanks in advance

Camping La Foret (see reviews on here) in St Jean (nearer Notre Dame de Monts to be honest) is great little site (65 pitches or so). If you aren't worried about water slides and entertainment you won't find better in the area (Tripadvisor certainly agrees as well) with access through pine forest on foot and bikes tracks a-plenty
I wouldn't bother moving to Tranche but day trip from there if you want to see down that way!
These areas are only an hour apart, doesnt really seem worth moving?
Le Tranch is a much nicer area than St Jean, which to be honest we found a bit tacky.
Camping Les Dunes is nice ( there a few of them) and Camping zagarella.
Camping ACapulco near St Jean De monts is a good site, with a great pool complex, but as i say the southern end of the vendee is more attractive.

I would agree St Jean is very busy in high season (don't drive in unless you know the back roads!) and has one road that is a little "kiss me quick" tacky but lovely beaches and promenade
The smaller towns like Notre Dame just north of it are much lovelier IMO and why we keep going back
May look at Tranche if its prettier in general but struggling to find something similar to La Foret where we love!
