Hi all
We're looking at southern brittany or the vendee next year. I really fancy a campsite where we can walk easily to the beach, we also like having a large pitch. Is it possible to combine the two?
All the campsites I have been looking at either have small pitches or are inland.
Thank you

For southern Brittany the supporters of Camping du Letty will be along any minute, Camping Pors Peron also has fans - a mere 300 metres from the beach and the owners say they have a few pitches larger than standard size.
We ourselves would sacrifice beachside location for a less busy ambiance a little way inland. Something like www.campingvertcreachlann.com appeals to us.
I have not been there yet, however, Camping de la Plage is where I shall be staying when I am ready.

Greetings,
A big up for Les Embruns at Le Pouldu in the area of Clohars-Carnoet. Southern Brittany.
A Five Star site with covered pool (including toddlers pool) and fitness centre. Heated Showers and toilets (British style) Very quiet in June. Beautiful floral arrangements. Lots for kids, swings, sand pit etc. Restaurant/Bar immediately outside. Like Cornwall coastline within walking distance. Estuary a mile away. and all for €14 with ACSI.

You could consider Camping Municipal de Kerhilo, a small ville west of Carnac.
You will be camping in the dunes, the beach is just over the top. There is no organisation in this campsite, it is stick your tent where you can find a space. If you want a big space find it yourself.
Most campsites are flat or sloping, this site is truly 3 dimensional tents and cars placed at all different heights.
Learn how to use your car jack and dig yourself out of sand before you go.
The site can get windy, wet and foggy, sometimes at the same time, but mostly it is sunny and I had fun there.
