I'm just getting a rough plan together for next summer. The kids are really keen on going back to Disney, so the plan is to travel the long trek from scotland and use the tunnel, then to book a chalet at 4 vents for a week (anyone used them, they look basic but decent?) then on the 2nd week head to holland/Germany area, not looked at specific sites as yet, any recommendations as we will be hiring accommodation?? I've priced up the Amsterdam to Newcastle ferry and its coming in at £240 for the way home - I reckon this is a bargain for us and saves a huge amount of driving and a night in a hotel..
Cheers guys..

Thanks shellybobs, did you enjoy duinrell? Our kids are 6+8 so a good age for that type of site I would imagine?
I'm debating 4vents, etange and la croix for our stay around Paris and Disney..4vents looks good but there isn't much info about their chalets :-(

Duinrell was excellent for the children, mine at the time were 10, 9 and 14 months. The site was lovely and clean, we did look at the camping facilities too which seemed lovely.
We too are looking at 3-4 days around Paris next August, but the moving over to Brittany, st malo way for another 7-8 days
Will be towing our van, first time towing in France although I've done a fair amount of driving there. Very daunting but ill have a go lol

Some friends did the 4 Vents site this year but were in own caravan - said it was a nice enough site and they did EuroDisney and such from there.
then headed over to West coast in Vendee which is a reasonable trek at around 300 miles
We haven't totally ruled out doing exactly the same as your friends sunshinetours and coming home via a western ferry - I think we will need a week to recover from Disney and Paris! Ha..

If you go to Disney then Duinrell might be a let down for kids in the same holiday.....don't know just a thought. You might have also had enough of piped music :-). Holland is brilliant if your children are able to cycle - best place ever for safe cycling.
Duinrell is fab though we have been a few times and loved it.

Agree Duinrell is fab but me and my 4 kids much prefer it to Disney.
