As I opened up the tent one morning a few years ago the first thing I saw was a Dutch woman hold a little shovel under her dog's bum, catch the poo and bag it without it ever touching the ground. It's not often you see a performing dog on a campsite

At Les Peupliers this year, a hamster and rabbit shared their own little hutch.
Sure we recognised a Belgian family from Bel Ombrage 4 years ago who had a canary in a cage who this year had a very large ginger cat on a lead.
This year, at a tiny site in a tiny place called Trébas-les-Bains there was a mum & son camped next to us with a guinea-pig. It was in its cage in the open air all day & they put the cage in the car at night. They were in quite a small tent, so that was probably the best sleeping arrangement for all concerned.
