Hello
We are looking to add 2 days at EuroDisney onto the beginning of our August 2014 trip to France.
Can anyone recommend any cheap sites near to Disney? Will only be staying there 3 nights and am not bothered about facilities other than electric hook up as we will be out all day!
Also - any tips on cheapest way to visit Disney?
Thanks

Must be the season for planning Disney as the post above this is about Disney :-)
We went for the first time last year and after lots of research and tips on here we went for annual passes through CE Multi advantage when they had an offer for buy 1 adult get a child under 12 for 35 euros
We went for the fantasy pass which is the middle range one which gives you free parking so saves you 15 euros a day and also gives you discount on food and shopping
The other thing we learnt is there is a myth that you can't take your own food in-that's because there are signs saying no picnics-this is aimed at the French who love to take full old fashioned picnic baskets or cool boxes, but you can take sandwiches, crisps etc in your rucksack which we did both days which saves you a small fortune, there are also water fountains dotted around so we took drinks bottles in and then refilled them during the day

Just a note that I have already been onto CE and they have no offers on the passes until November - email them and tell them what you want and they will get back to you very quickly.
we are going for the first time next June too - cant wait.
On the recommendations from here we are staying at caravaning 4 verts - about 20 minutes drive from disney. - I booked directly with them on their web site and had email confirmation the next day.

July 2013 - River Valley - Co. Wicklow
August 2013 - Nore Valley - Co. Kilkenny
April 2014 - Silver Sands , Wicklow
June 2014 - Camping des 4 verts , Camping Haliotis
Stayed at caravaning 4 verts this july. Huge pitches, good facilities and not to far from Disney. 6 Euros a pint though, so get it from the supermarket if you want a bevy. Food served wasn't bad either. Bread delivered to van inside entrance from about 7.

Caravanning 4 verts is one we had looked at so going on the above recommendations we will probably book there. Now we just need to sort park tickets and a site for the remainder of our holiday on the Atlantic coast around Royan/Ile D'Oleron area!

August 2013 Domiane des Forges, Vendee
Oct 2013 The Star, Alton Towers
With the park tickets we are going for the annual pass as will be there more than 3 days so the annual pass works out cheaper for us ( family of 6 ) The passes can be bought 6 months before you go . with the annual pass you get free parking , 10% of the shops and restaurants and the early entry - I have been busy on google as you see. Best prices on the annual pass that I can get are on PromoParcs and Ce Multiadvantages .
We are then heading back up to Mont Michel and hope to stay at camping Haliotis again after reading reviews on here.

We found its Defintley worth getting the annual passes and going for the fantasy one as that also includes the extra hours so you can get the park 2 hours before it opens which in August is a god send

Don't expect to get on anything in the summer holidays unless you are prepared to wait 2 hours at least! You cannot expect a 5 year old to do this for a 90 second ride on the flying dumbos. It was the worst 2 days of our holiday this year. My daughter had a better time in the pool at the dordogne.

Thanks Carys - I know what you mean and that does concern me! Ours will be 15,12 & 8 but it's still along time to expect them to wait! am considering maybe Easter or October as well
We went at the end of August 30/31 st and the max we queued was 80 minutes which I didn't thank was to bad, with the Extra hours I did Space Mountain twice without queuing
We also went to the tower of terror on the 2nd we went in and only waited 25 minutes
We are regulars at Alton Towers and you reguarly see waiting times of up to 2 hours
