There are thousands of sites that would fit the bill, which coast are you thinking. If you use the search facility on here its really good, otherwise if you give us some more specific details we can help you out.

If you decide on Brittany Ferries - I am a member of the Travel voyage club and as a guest of mine you can save 10% on the crossing, if that is of any use to you.

Well you did ask for experiences...Disney for 6 peeps an absoulute overpriced nightmare,35c,huge queues,Q skipping machine bust,2 hour Q for a ride. I will NEVER go again.I would rather give £250 to my local charity.Absolute tacky American twaddle.Thats as polite as i can be.

Emhh had a strong coffea and deep breathing.Just dont mention Disney.

I agree, the only reason we went back the second day to EuroDisney is because I'd bought a two day ticket. On the same holiday we went to Parc Asterix for the day....and we've been back three times since. Much nicer place, far better rides, less crowded, shorter queues, far more to see and do, friendlier staff, cheaper and better food, cheaper and better merchandise.....I wouldn't go back to Eurodisney for free, come to think of it.

France is big, once you arrive you can drive for a couple of days in any direction. You can drive until your family go crazy then keep driving until they calm down and slump in a heap in the back of the car.
You can share the driving in 2 hour refuel slots or do it all yourself and return home exhausted.
Treat camping in France as an expedition not as a holiday, things will go wrong and you will have to find a solution. You may walk around a supermarket with an empty basket unable to make a decision or if there is a storm the French will all go home while you dig into to weather it.
If you go to La Havre and head SW you will go no where near Euro Disney, but you will cross the 2nd largest single span suspension bridge in the world, have someone with a camera handy and drive bravely.
Go to Normandy for D Day beaches
Brittany is Celtic, French and green.

Stay in Northern Brittany if you only have a week, camp near Cancale and go home from Saint Malo on Brittany Ferries.
