Hi Everyone

We are in advanced planning stages of our trip to Paris next year, we are going to stay at Camping 4 Vents but would like some tips on visiting Didneyland Paris, we are taking our 6 year old Grand Daughter so there will be 3 of us.

Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Thanking you in advance

Paul

Don't go in the school summer holidays would be my advice, you will get on none of the rides as a 6 year old is not going to q up for 2 hours for a 90 second ride

We stayed at 4vents last sept, good site, think I left a review on here. If you use a sat nav and it takes you through a forest track don't worry it'll get you there.

Short drive to DL bought tickets on day (as wanted to see what weather was like). Usual tips for DL is head to back of park first and head back to front or don't watch lunchtime parade to get shorter queues on rides. Worth going to studios for the trolley bus film set ride, but not as much there as main park. We managed it all in one (long) day as quiet and managed to repeat rides, but you'd prob want to do 2 days in busy periods.

In terms of other things in area, we visited Palace of Fontainebleau and the medieval town of Provins, would recommend both. We also got train into Paris from local station where we could park for free.

Have fun, I'm sure your granddaughter will love it.

Thank You very much for the replies, they are very much appreciated. We intend going just before the main Easter break, our Grand Daughter is at school in Leicestershire and for some reason they seem to break one week earlier than other Counties so hopefully the timing is right in regards to how busy the park is. We think she is going to love it, we can't wait to see her lovely face light up, handily she loves our caravan too :)

Park in the multistorey car park in the Disney Village as it is closer to the park entrance and cheaper too.

We bought the book 'Brits guide to disneyland paris' it was really helpful as it told us where to go and when to avoid the worst of the queues and we went in August so it was really busy. Also had loads of advice on where to stand for the parades, restaurants etc. we bought annual passes off the website ce multi-advantages we only paid 125 Euros each for adults and 35 for the kids. 4 vents is a great site too.

Park in Disney village as above has said, closer and cheaper(dont worry you will be allowed to spend the money saved later!!)We went early July and benefited using Fast Pass for bigger attractions,Allow you to get on loads more stuff than wandering aimlessly allover the place.. Restaurants are a bit on the dear side...

We got back on Friday from DLP, food is very expensive so if you can take snacks and drinks that would save a fortune. An example on the prices of food:

Hot dog from 6€99
Tea and a large muffin 4€99
Burger and chips inc drink from 10€99
Spare ribs inc drink & pudding 16€99

They all seem to sell similar types of meals for roughly the same prices apart from the restaurants where you generally have to book eg Walts, prices here can start from 23€ upwards for a main course on its own.

We knew it was expensive having been before, so we had budgeted £100/day for food but realistically it should have been £150. This was 2 adults and 2 children (aged 16&13). At dinner it would cost £40/£50 alone and then evening meals on top of that. We stayed on site and found it very handy as we were in the park for 8 am (extra magic hours) and then would go back to the hotel early afternoon for a couple of hours and then back into the park about 4/5pm until it closed at 10pm!!

As posted above worth looking at Annual passes if you are going for more than 2 days ,we got ours through CE Multiadvantages on an offer by an adult for 125 euros and get a child for 35 euros and its worth paying the little bit more for the fantasy pass as well as the usual discounts in the shops and resturants the main advantage is free parking on site - saving 15 euros a day and even better ŷou get extra hours which means you can get in park 2 hours early which only people in the hotel and with annual passes can do

If you do buy an annual pass take a copy of the mothers passport and a letter of authority from her not only for the border police but also Disney need one to issue any pass to child who is not yours

Defintley worth taking packed lunches in - there is an urban myth you can take food in that is based on the fact there a signs saying no picnics which is aimed at the French who like to take full blown cool boxes etc,but it's fine taking ome rolls and snacks etc in your rucksack, there also water stations dotted around to fill up a water bottle from

Eating on site is pricey but we only did it once when we went in August and will do it once when we are now so in the grand scheme of things it's not to bad-and it's the ideal way to kill an hour if you going to go the whole hog and stay for the Disney Dreams which is the daily closing show which is on at the end of the day -in August it was 9pm maybe be earlier when you go we watch the main psrade which is amazing then have dinner then it's nearly time for the closing show

We went for the first time in August and even for syndic like me loved it and to see the delight on my 8 year old daughter face is truly worth it

Use the Fastpass system (free) to avoid queuing for big rides and, while waiting for your appointed hour, watch a show.

As above Defintley use the fast pass system for the big rides, the shows are great -my personal favourite is Stitch live
Also get a spot for the main parade about 30 mins before it starts to get a good view as gets very busy
