decided on either camping de la piscine
or Camping Le Raguenes Plage
both seem ok, and only a couple of hrs away from Roscoff rather than over 200 mile from Caen
anyone recommend either site

We've stayed at Camping de la Piscine a few times and would happily go back again. The area is lovely with plenty of good beaches and interesting places to visit. You can walk to a good beach from the site (20-30 mins) or a short drive or bike ride will get you to others at Beg Meil. Pool is lovely, small shop, takeaway & bar and it's family owned. Pitches are pleasant although some can be a bit tight to get to - everyone seems to manage though. There are some newer more open ones backing on to the fields which might suit a larger van. Ours is just under 7m and we were ok for access. Some entertainment provided, quiet at night and a good mix of nationalities
We used the Plymouth/Roscoff ferry (from the Midlands, crossing either overnight or on the morning ferry. It's just over 2 hours to the site on quiet roads then dual carriageway.
Hope this helps
Julie
ps. If you look at my pics you can see one of the beaches at Beg Meil and 2 of the pitches we've had.

only sites we've done in Brittany are Les Mouettes and Chateau de Ormes, we enjoyed both but we all preferred Les Mouettes, they have a great pool area with a newly built indoor pool. They open the pool on a night (which is fab).
