Having discovered camping in France last year we will definately be going back this coming summer. We are looking for some advice from you experts on campsites in Bordeau - Limogue area that are great for families with small kids (7 and 5 years old), not to busy, but must have good pool with slides.
The only other criteria is we plan to take our mini speed boat this year. It is only a baby at 13 ft long, but it is great fun. How easy is it to find places to launch your own boat in france. We like the idea of the seas, but alos a big lake or river.
I have not got a clue where to start looking for speed boat tips in france.. Any help wuld be much appreciated.
Cheers
Steve

Might be a bit dodgy in the sea on the Atlantic coast but a few lakes a few miles inland though. Lake Hourtin would probably be ok for your boat. Dunno about launching fees or anything though but a basis for some research. The campsite at Hourtin plage here has waterslide etc but rather expensive. Very nice area, plenty of cycle tracks.
Thanks for the replies . Have you got any advice on taking a speedboat to France? Are there any laws or licenses required ? We are new to owning a boat so any advise at all would be great
Cheers

The trouble with the coast down there is the continuous surf swell along the beaches. Better to launch from a river with pleasure boat facilities. The flow of the river keeps down the waves.
How about Royan, it has a Port de Plaisance and nearby is Camping de la Triloterie. (I have not visited)
Great beaches nearby including the wild and wonderful nature reserve of La Tremblade. I nearly went there last year and feel tempted for this year.
