My sons keep asking us to stay with them in Les Contamines/Montjoie - where there is a campsite near to the Chalet they stay in when snowboarding.  Here's the link http://en.lescontamines.com/camping-caravaning-le-pontet.html and the site takes caravans as well as motorhomes.

We used to stay at Le Versoyen in Bourg St Maurice so we could ski at Les Arcs. We used to hire a mobile home, but there were plenty of tourers there too. Couldn't be better for access to the funicular to the slopes, the town or the supermarkets, although the site is opposite the industrial estate.
The owners & staff were very friendly, the site was also next to the river & pretty walks.
Would love to go there again in winter, but alas I'm unable to ski now.
Hope the sun shines & the snow is fresh!

Hope that helps.

I drove past the site in Bourg last week and it looked quite busy. Not much snow in the valley but plenty high up is Les Arcs and La Plagne.

I also spotted the site at La Rosiere last year but did not get chance to look round it.
