We're thinking of travelling to Mosel valley in Germany next summer.
We've found "Camping Schenk" on the Mosel river, has anyone stayed there? Anyone got a review?
Is the Mosel a good area (we have 4 and a 1 year old)?
Anyone got any advice on route from Europoort - I had bad experience of travelling in Belgium, am I better doing the slighly longer route through Netherlands and straight into Germany??
Thanks,
Dan

Not camped in Mosel but no help there sorry but having driven most of western Europe truck n drawbar if your heading into Rotterdam then the Breda Eindhoven Venlo and 61 south is probably the shortest and quickest combined at around 3.5 4 hours. In Fairness Rotterdam or The Hook are the closet western ports but assume you are Hull to Rot thats probably the least possible driving but I guess the ferry will be a lot higher in cost.

Uttoxeter (Race days)
Le Serignan Plage (clothed one) August and Scheveningen on way back
We spent a week here in 2005. Pleasant small site.
Koblenz and Trier both within reach and worth visiting.
Cycle path along the river passes the campsite.
Nice restaurant on site.
Weather wasn't great the week we were there (overcast most of the time), which was a pity.
In good weather, I'm sure it's all very pleasant.
