I've looked in the reviews and there aren't any for Serignan Plage (non nature one). Just about to book it and wanted some advice on the pitches. You get two options Plage or Phare Quest, I like the look of the Plage pitches but concerned about noise and security (over protective mother lol) the Phare Quest are a bit barren and out of the the way, which obviously comes with benefits of being quiet. Just hopIng if anyone has been, whether the Plage pitches would be the better pitches and not too noisy (beach revellers at night) and Secure I suppose, Thanks in Advance.

Have not been but we have decided to go this year Suggest you give them a call Its pretty full it seems in August so something must be good and we read reviews on another site plus some recommendations from friends who have been and are going again this year. We deliberately opted for the Ouest side as it seemed better for children with what we have been told. Much depends when you are going

We've been twice, some years ago now, and the Plage pitches were just that - open to the beach with no real barrier between beach and pitch - this may have changed as some of the sites along the beach at Serignan Plage now have high fences. If you're concerned about security then for peace of mind you probably need to be further into the campsite. I think the area shown as 'emplacements' on the camping plan has been added since we were there as I know the site has grown larger and also incorporated some of what was the naturist Serignan Plage which is at the other side of the site to the 'emplacements' area. We were between the pool and reception on one visit, and down the road leading to the 'Patio' area another time - but these now seem to be mobile home pitches.
There are more recent reviews of the site on both Trip Advisor and Zoover which are worth reading.
I think some reviews 'confuse' the Naturist and non-Naturist sites as they both have the same name, are under the same management, and share parts of the pool areas (though not at the same time)! The beach, too, is 'shared' with a naturist section towards one end - though people do move freely from one area to another so be prepared for naturists walking along the beach.
We looked in on the site but have not stayed there. Certainly the Phare site is "quieter". I am assuming that the children are less than 10 and you are going July/August

The beach is lovely, the are not so, its quite remote on the end of a sort of peninsula type thing. Les Sablons, which is just along the beach a bit is less remote and also lovely.
I emailed and asked them about pitch sizes, as we have a Twin Axle. They recommended the Phare Ouest area, which they described as a sunny, large, calm area. We are me & hubby plus teenage daughter, so that sounds fine for us.
We will be going with fingers crossed and baited breath - and the hope that the site is as good as it looks ! I must say that they have been very helpful in responding to emails and during the booking process, which is a good start !!
I have seen a few reviews which appear to be good, and I've done a fair amount of research, but I can't help thinking that we were spoilt last Year with L'Etoile D'Argens, it's such a long way to go if you find the site isn't up to your expectations.

Yes same here got off to a great start and more than helpful on the phone even with my French (mange tout) even not citing us near a motor home disposal point which I thought was jolly nice of Mylene there.
So fingers crossed and a helpful reassurance form Warbis Thanks.

Thank you so much for the info, going to book the Phare side I reckon. Our Children will be 2 and 6, quiet enough for them, saying that, I reckon they'd sleep through most noise!!!

We can recommend too, although agree the area is not the best. The campsite is great, beach is lovely and very quiet. We stayed down near the beach with a 2 and 5 year old, no issues with noise or security

Thanks Checkley, typically I've already booked the Phare side!! We're quite familiar with Agde and Valras Plage, we accidently ended up by the Aloha campsite last year when we were making our way to Agde from Valras. Seemed a bit isolated, but we're okay with packing up the car for a drive elsewhere. If you have any recommendations for things to do with little ones, please feel free...

Hi, you'll enjoy either location to be honest, both are nice.
I would recommend you take bikes / scooters for the site though, it is huge and getting around with little ones walking can be slow progress.
We didn't really venture out to be honest as this was part of a touring holiday and as such was our sit on the beach part :-). We stopped in Switzerland and Ardeche on the way down, then over the Millau back up to Loire Valley and onto Calais after that.
The area is fab, although slightly isolated at Serignan, the beach is amazing, so calm and sheltered and clean. 20 mins in the car gets you to a whole host of places, we loved it and will definitely return. This year we are staying in land near Carcassonne as we loved the area so much.
