We went camping last year to angers and loved it so tried to book this years holiday and chose the ever popular Le pin parasol but it's fully booked. We need a campsite which has pools for the kids ,will take dogs and plenty to do but has to be drivable from calais without a stopover. Hoping that some of you families have found a site that's like Le pin parasol with all it's facilities but is within 6-7 hours from the port . Does not need kids clubs or evening entertainment as we make our own but swimming pools and slides would be a big hit many thanks

Hi there,
My short list for this year was Pin Parasol, La Garangeoire and La Guyonniere as they are all pretty close to each other in the area we wanted. We eventually booked La Garangeoire last week but it was hard to chose between them as they are all 5 star with lots to offer. So maybe have a look at the other two.

Can thoroughly recommend La Garangeoire - we've been there several times and has everything you want/need (by the sound of it anyway!).

The only reason we're not going back this year is because we were slow in booking. So we booked La Guyonniere instead!!
