Hi, looking at taking my trailer tent to normandy crossing from dover to calais in July this year. I want advice on toll road charges. My trailer is under 2m high. Any advice is welcome thanks in advance

It depends where you are going in Normandy. Leaving Calais, the motorway is free until Boulogne then you could turn off & take the old N1 now D901 to Abbeville & then back onto free motorway to Rouen & you are probably nearly there.

We tow a half ton trailer that is 1.7m in height, to avoid being mistaken for a 2m in height unit as can happen, we use the Bip&Go Tag and always use the fast Tag lane which is restricted to units under 2m.
As mentioned with your TT you should be only charged the car rate.
Back in 2012 when we last did the journey to the South of France and back, total cost of Tolls came to £106 for approx using 1200 miles of autoroute, so I guess you can recon around 10p per mile or so.
