No reviews yet on UKCS (yours could be the first! ) for Het Grote Bos but it's on the ACSI CampingCard list, with three reviews in Dutch, if that's any help?
I get the impression that the vast majority of Dutch sites are child friendly.
Re ferry discounts, in recent years DFDS have had offers during the NEC Caravan and Camping Show in February (and the October event) for Dover - Duinkerke sailings but they don't appear to be on the exhibitors list yet! Look out for codes around those dates (18th - 23rd February) though.
I haven't been to that site either but stayed for a week at Ter Spegelt (in Eersel, near Einhoven)last June and was very impressed. It is a wonderful place for children!

Were going to Camping De Paal in late July,
Won a ton of awards.
And the photos of pool complex, sandpit etc look fab,
As do pitches, some with private bathroom!!
Is it still camping?..

It does seem that the sites in Holland look very child and family friendly. Just worried young daughter (7) would not understand what was going on in the kids clubs etc due to the language barrier

LOL .... even pre school Dutch kids seem have a reasonable grasp of English, and the adults speak better English than me!
Stayed at Koningshof near Rjinsburg last summer, lovely place with a great beach. Very family friendly and only 40 mins from the Hook. Holland was really nice.
Great days out with a 4 & 2 year old were
Dolfinarium & Madurudam.
Madurudam was excellent and took me by surprise how long we were there for and how much there was to interact with.

Best site we've found in Holland for families is Camping Westhove near Domburg in Zeeland.

It has an indoor pool, a huge 'soft-play' area and the other facilities are superb. We've been twice in the last few years and have booked again for this year.
We use the Hull ferries and it's around and hour and quarter from Europoort and hour and half from Zeebrugge.
If you have any questions drop me a line I'd be happy to give you more info,
We have been to Holland about 6 or 7 times with our children now and have found it one of the most child-friendly countries we've been to. Everyone (or practically everyone) speaks fluent English, and they are keen to do so, especially if you make an effort to try a few words of Dutch -dank u wel (thank you) etc.
