The Cascades de Sautadet, where Les Cascades is situated, is absolutely beautiful, but just one word of warning, there have been a number of drownings there. The rocks are spectacular, but there are hidden depths, shelves, and sink holes - and one year when we were there someone was pulled unconscious from the water. It's obviously worse after heavy rain, when the water is very fast flowing. Enjoy the water there - but make sure you keep safe especially if you have foolhardy teenagers!
Just one small part of the waterfalls/flumes/and channels and the red blob on the top is a person - so you can see how huge the falls are in some places.
And another:
Another time, in the winter, when we went to have a look with David's 90 year old mum, we saw a whole tree being swept down the river as it if was a matchstick!
