Hi there folks,  I wonder if I could your brains regarding Germany,  We have been going to France now for many years and have had some great holidays,  however this year we are very interested in Germany , in particular Mosel Valley, and Black Forest area, can any of you good people recommend any good sites in either area for two trainee OAP'S. and a dog, we will be going in June

We are well aware of Camping Cheques and ACSI cards

Any advice or recommendations would be very welcome

I have been to Camping Alpirsbach twice now and think its a great little site - thoroughly recommended

Last year I stayed at:   http://www.moselbad.de/willkommen.html in Cochem   - again not a bad site, a bit tired perhaps, but right next to the river Mosel and in walking distance of the town centre. I first camped her around 1984 whilst still serving in Germany - not much had changed when I went back last year!

I have never used camping cheques - just paid cash.

Recommend Camping Munstertal in the Black Forest, a great site close to Staufen in the the south west.

Hiya
Camping burg larneck at Koblenz is good.
It is on the Rhine, but 20 mins from the Mosel.
Great swimming pool next door and lovely views along the river.

We camped here a few years ago. Right on the river, walk into village.
Nice restaurant on site ... good and comfortable ... especially if you get a river front pitch (we did, without booking, in August).
Not an all singing all dancing site ... a relaxing one.

Can recommend Camping Alisehof at Bad Rippoldsau right in center of Black Forest Takes ACSI Camping Card.
On the Mosel Camping Kueserwerth on banks of river at Bernkastel Kues. Both listed on this website in the German campsite reviews.
