Yes, we've done that route but not recently and everything may have changed since the last time we were that way.
I would say that if you're having to ask the question about 'How long', and the journey time is important, then use the toll roads instead, unless you can just take your time. Much of the point in going 'off-toll' (apart from saving money) is to see more of France, meandering, stopping in a village because it looks nice, or there's a Fete on, or something similar. If you are just going to drive without much 'meandering' then it can be done with two overnight stops en-route, I would have thought, allowing reasonable driving times each day and getting you somewhere near Dunkerque for your crossing. Or you could spend a fortnight meandering, and stop at more places overnight.
