Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good campsite that ticks all the boxes in the Vendee area with 3 children (4,6,9 yrs old). Last year we went to Le Letty, Benodet (Brittany) from recommendations on here and it was brilliant but think we could of got lucky with the weather and thought it may be safer to head further South - looking at 5 hours ish from Cherbourg. Basically, we would like Le Letty but further South!
It may be a tall order as we have spent hours looking already:
Vendee area (5 hours from Cherbourg - wuld be a bit flexible for right campsite)
Good sized swimming pool with water slides and heated pool
On the beach (do not want to have to get in car)
Good sized pitches for pitching tent
Play parks for kids and activities
Not too big park
Not noisy in the evening
We have shortlisted a few but all tend to be booked.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart

I am impressed to think you have a tent bigger than some peoples houses! 9 metres is about 30 feet in old money, I can't imagine many pitches or campsites will easily accommodate that.

Have a look on the ACSI Card website www.campingcard.co.uk. Click on the map of France, then Pays de la Loire, then Vendee, and you can search for a site 'By Facilities'. Tick these boxes
Les Ecureils...St Hilaire de Riez...you'd have to contact them about the size of the pitches as I'm not sure about that, but the rest of your boxes would be ticked (I think)!
