July this year will be our first trip abroad with the caravan.
I'd be grateful for advice/suggestions for a quiet caravan site for an overnight stop in France or Belgium, with about an hour's drive from the ferry terminal at Calais.
Thanks.

Depends which way you're heading - I take it towards Belgium?? If so Chateau du Gandspette is a good one - handy for both Calais and Dunkerque, and only £14.95 per night using Camping Cheques between the following dates: from 29/03/2014 to 04/07/2014 and then again from 31/08/2014 to 30/09/2014

Thanks for your suggestions, will look into those. Am really looking for a site for an overnight stop before getting the ferry in Calais back to Blighty. Have found one at Ypres which you can reserve, and has an automated check in if you arrive out of hours. Campsite manager says it's about 90 minutes from Calais.
There are about 20 sites listed here on Camp Site Search within that distance of Calais , and many of them have reviews. You'll not have any difficulty.
I'd recommend Chateau du Gandspette as Val A as already indicated - its very easy to find with or without toll roads. I'm sure there will be plenty of Brits on site should you need any help. Its a good place to branch out from for either France or Beglium.
We have booked les epinettes too. We've decided to stay there for the last 3 nights to break the journey up. Apparently there's enough to do around there for a couple of chilled out days.
yes we have booked for 3nights too, always do.first time at this site, friend went last year.she would go back so thats good enough for us.plenty to do.we stock up on our wine.

We have used both Les Epinettes and Chateau du Gandspette - both good but very different sites, so it depends what you want from your stay. As you're looking for a quiet site for just an overnight stay before catching the ferry home then I would go with Les Epinettes.
