Hi we are looking at taking the caravan abroad this year, first time :-0 we are looking at doing the hull - zeebrugge crossing. Can anyone recommend any really family friendly campsites, preferably with a decent pool with slides, or that hasa decent water park/swimming pool near., the closer to zeebrugge the better really as first time towing abroad but the right camp site is the main thing so if anyone knows of any great ones please let me know. Thanks

Perhaps Camping de Paal in the Netherlands - the ultimate family friendly camp site. It's about 110 miles, but much of it motorway so not life threatening.

Nearest big family campsite with pool etc, is Klein Strand only about 20miles from Zeeby but as pointed out Holland might be a better camping experience, you can ship Hull-Europoort & there are several large sites of the type you seek within a fairly short drive.

We liked Ter Spegelt, at Eersel near Eindhoven. About 110 miles from Zeebrugge. Review on here.

We went there last year - our first time towing abroad too and my husbands first time driving abroad. The roads are good and we had no problems.

We are planning to go to De Gavers at Geraardsbergen in June this year - 69 miles from Zeebrugge - so will post a review when I get back.
