Can anyone recommend a site to stopover between Calais & Longeville sur mer? Last year we stopped at Neufchâtel en Bray but would like to go a little further this time, maybe 2.5/3 hours?
Thanks

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
You don't say when you're going but if it's after March then the site at Pont Audemer, Risle Seine Les Etangs is quite good and they're used to UK travellers. It'snot far from the motorway and it's also in ACSI
We stayed at Longeville Sur Mer last year and broke our return journey to Calais at almost exactly halfway at beaumont sur sarthe near Le Mans. We stayed on a lovely riverside municiple site very popular with English and Dutch over nighters on their way south. The costs were very reasonable and the shower block immaculate - the small town/ village is a short walk away for provisions or restaurants.
Link below and there are also reviews on this site.
Would definitely second Beaumont Sur Sarthe - cracking little site with good facilities. Very close to the autoroute, and a short walk takes you into town if you fancy a leg stretch

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about....?
Another nice municipal is the one at Vimoutiers, South of Liseux. it's about 10kn off the A28 and is more or less half way http://www.vimoutiers.fr/CAMPING-MUNCIPAL-,5,0,97.html
Was going to suggest taking teh more northern Caen/Rennes/Nantes route if you were towing but realised you aren't so probably won't save you much money in tolls
For those towing that route would save you money and cover your stopever site as well even though its another 50 miles overall
Last year we stopped at La Foret campsite in Jumieges. Think it's about two and a half hours from Calais and is a pretty town with a couple of restaurants/bars within walking distance of the campsite.
