Hi, after many hours of research in the Vendee area I think that we're going to stay at La guyonniere!

I have read many good reviews on here about it and it looks like it has everything that we're looking for, I just wondered if any one who has been before can answer a few questions for me please,

We want a sunny spot with not a lot of shade, close to where my son can play football and close to a park so the kids can go and play but I can still see them from the tent, also I like to have a hedge to separate us a bit from next door (if all that's possible!) I've read that la pointe is a nice part what would be the best pitch to ask for do you think?

Also is there somewhere to do the washing up as I can't find any info on it from the website?

Thanks for your help, I want to get it booked soon as I've been looking for months, we want to go about the 16th August for about 10/11 days, it will be our first trip abroad so I'm hoping for nice weather as well!!

Thanks

In my opinion La Pointe is the nicest area on the site but i think a new area has been developed since we were last there. Dont know what that is like

As far as I recall La pointe doesn't have any hedges but there is a big area in the middle for playing and a sandpit.

The big playground on site is not visible from any pitch on the whole site.

The sunniest pitches on La Pointe I think are those straight ahead of you as you drive in (the base of the triangle if you like).

Def lots of places for washing up by the toilet/shower blocks.

Lovely site, hope you have a great hols.

Thanks for replying! I have read lots of good reviews on La Pointe so i think ill email them and see what they have available.

I forgot to ask are the toilets and showers unisex and do you need to take in your own toilet roll and hand wash in with you?

Thanks

I was there last year, I have to agree that La pointe would be the best for football, the toilet block in this area was being replaced over the winter.

We were on the left as you drove in and had plenty of sun from 10 - late.

There was also a field behind La Pointe not sure what is was called and that was a very open area aswell just a little bit further to walk to amenities.

Not many of the plots had fences between them and the park is not visible from any pitches, it's on an area behind the Tennis Courts .

There's some toilet roll on the wall outside, so easier to take your own and handwash in some.

No personal experience to add but have you had a look at this site - it might just be interesting.
